The Tamron MP3010M-EV is a high-performance compact camera module that supports a variety of video output methods, but does not directly support network video signal output (such as RTSP or RTMP network protocols). Implementation mode

1. Connect the encoder through HDMI interface
Tamron MP3010M-EV supports HDMI interface output HD video signal (up to 1080P/60FPS).
An HDMI output can be connected to an external video encoder (such as an H.264 or H.265 encoder), the video signal can be encoded into a network streaming media format (such as RTSP or RTMP), and then transmitted over the network to a server or other device.

 

2. Connect the computer through UVC interface
The Tamron MP3010M-EV supports a USB Video Class (UVC) interface and can be directly connected to a computer or other UVC-enabled devices via a USB cable.
On the computer, video capture software (such as OBS, VLC, etc.) can be used to capture and encode the video signal into a network streaming media format, and then transmit it over the network.

 

3. Connect the special coding board through LVDS interface
Through the LVDS interface, the Tamron MP3010M-EV can connect to the MIPI to IP interface board independently developed by Ruiloog to output network video signals and transmit them through Ethernet.

In contrast, by connecting the MIPI to IP interface board, it is a convenient and practical way for Tamron MP3010M-EV to achieve network video signal output, which is described in detail below.

1. Prepare materials
(1) Tamron MP3010M-EV
(2) MIPI to IP interface board
(3) 30Pin LVDS Cable
(4) Power cable (including 6Pin cable and 2Pin power cable)

 

2. Connect steps
(1) Interface identification:
In order to increase the flexibility of MIPI to IP interface board, two interfaces, MIPI Input and LVDS Input, are specially designed. The MIPI Input is designed for the SONY FCB-EV9500M, while the Tenglong MP3010M-EV and other LVDS interface cameras should be connected to the LVDS Input interface.

(2) Wiring operation:
The output end of Tamron MP3010M-EV integrated camera is connected to the LVDS Input interface of MIPI to IP interface board using LVDS cable.
The sequence of the LVDS cable must be correct; otherwise, a fault may occur.
Next, connect the MIPI to IP interface board to a computer or other network device using a 6-PIN connection cable and network cable to ensure a smooth network.

 

Finally, connect the power cable and adapter to the power input of the MIPI to IP interface board.

At this time, the lens of the Tamron MP3010M-EV will first shrink in and then extend, which is the process of camera self-test.

If there is a self-check process, the camera can start normally.

 

3. Software Settings
Login control interface:
Open Internet Explorer and enter the default IP address 192.168.0.123, user name admin, and password abcd1234 to log in to the control page.
The first login will remind: “RTSPPlay plug-in is not installed, click download”, click this prompt to download the plug-in, then close the Internet Explorer browser, run the plug-in as an administrator, and install.

After the plug-in is installed, open the IE browser again, at this time, the Tamron MP3010M-EV integrated camera can normally display images, and can carry out simple control of the camera, such as zooming, shrinking, etc., in addition, you can also issue instructions through the serial port to control the movement.
